I have started work on Christmas commissions so like many artists at this time of year it’s difficult to post work in progress as we don’t want to spoil surprises. So this is a snippet of a x4 pet portrait I am working on at the moment. 👁 I always paint the eyes first because they are the most essential part of the portrait to get correct. I am still buzzing from my visit to #thequeensgallery at #buckinghampalace to see The Leonardo Da Vinci’s drawings exhibition. It was humbling to be in a room with so many out of this world incredible drawings. The man was truly ahead of his time with his ideas and vision. The drawings in the exhibition were so so beautiful that I didn’t want to leave the exhibition at the end because I knew I would never see a collection of his work like this again in my lifetime.
